Most of the difficulty in learning to ride well is learning not to do. Since we've often been led to believe that riding is complicated and difficult many of us have a "complicated" habit.
You'll be pleased to know (I hope) that really it is simple; be clear with the horse about what you want and let him get on with it!
The two simple things you need to know are how to sit still, and how to ask the horse for what you want.
The first requires that apparently mystical thing, a good seat. Well, it ain't mystical, and you don't need to wait years to achieve it. Seat training is simple, effective, and relatively quick, click here to find out more.
The second is also simply taught.
How "easy" those "simple"s are, is up to you.
I give one hour individual sessions, either here at Vowley Farm or I can visit you. Contact me for further details.
Additionally, this year I am allowing horses to come to stay at Vowley Farm for training of horse and rider. Stays can be from one month to several and are to allow the horse to receive training and, vitally important, for the rider to come and have instruction also. The usual contact details (below) will get you through to me to discuss this if you'd like to.
