Well that was quite a day! And what a turnout, our extra preparations were matched
by more of you coming to the farm, thank you.
Apart from a slight hiccup in the refreshment tent slowing down lunch it all seemed to go very well
From the kids climbing on the (completely functional and in day-to-day-use) tractors and digger to walking around the farm or listening to the talks or browsing the stands, just about everyone seemed to be having a good time, which is what we were hoping for, of course.
Next year's Open Farm Sunday date is June the 12th, we hope to see you there, and perhaps even before then.
From a rather slow and patchy start, summer appears to be in full swing.
The grass is growing very well and the cattle are happily soaking up the
good weather. We've even got our usual quota of overcast and windy days,
maybe not "luvverly", but certainly "normal".
The grass has grown so
well that even one of our second growth paddocks is deep enough that the
new-born calf was able to hide in it without us seeing it!
